Three-part Symposium to Explore AV Trends, with Powerful Discussions Led by Industry Experts

Jan. 13, 2021 - Sony Electronics, a leader in consumer and professional technology, is hosting a three-part thought-leadership symposium, Th!nk AV. The webinar series will occur across three days: Jan. 19 at 11:30 a.m. EST, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. EST and Feb. 2 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Gary Kayye, co-founder and director of THE rAVe Agency, will serve as moderator for the sessions.

Th!nk AV will explore industry trends with discussions centered around the future of AV, UCC and digital signage. The free, virtual event is a chance for integrators to learn about, while connecting and collaborating on, today’s issues to further understand the professional AV market’s evolution. Th!nk AV is an opportunity to discover the latest trends and new technologies that are shaping the industry, to hear from AV experts on the space’s future and to connect with peers, discussing and collaborating on key issues.

"The realities of the past year have challenged us all to think differently and find new ways to connect, engage and empower our community," commented Rich Ventura, vice president of B2B for Sony Electronics. "With the launch of the Th!nk AV symposium, we’re building on the success we’ve seen with our educational Technology Tuesdays webinar series and extending these sessions beyond Sony’s scope to explore trends and uncover opportunities within different segments of the industry, alongside some of AV’s leading voices."

"I am honored to be part of this rare opportunity," said Gary Kayye, co-founder and director of THE rAVe Agency. "What Sony’s put together with Th!nk AV is going to set a new bar for thought leadership events in 2021."

The event’s Influencer Panel, which will take place Jan. 19, will bring together the ultimate thought leaders in AV, UCC and digital signage. It will feature an exciting discussion with Rich Ventura of Sony, Jose Alvaro Avalos of Intel Corporation and Anna Bager of OAAA (Out of Home Advertising Association of America).

Th!nk AV’s Consultant Panel on Jan. 26 will feature the leading design voices in the AV industry, including John Garmendi of Sony, Scott Walker of Waveguide, Pete "TEC MAN" Coman of PTS Consulting, Charmaine Torruella of Verrex and Heather Sidorowicz of Southtown Audio Video.

The event’s End User Panel, which will take place Feb. 2, will highlight new expectations in AV, UCC and digital signage installations. The unique panel will feature the voices of users in education and corporate spaces, including Robb Mann of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Juan Lalinde of Full Swing Simulators and Dan Christy of L3Harris Technologies.
