NAB 2009, 20-23 April, Booth SL1420: Chyron (NASDAQ: CHYR) today announced the release of iRB, “intelligent Rundown Builder”. iRB is a revolutionary, browser-based application providing the benefits of a modern Newsroom workflow without a Newsroom system. Designed to meet the needs of fast paced sports, promo and entertainment production iRB can be used by all with access to the network.
An option for Chyron’s graphics asset management server, CAMIO, iRB enables anyone to create and share graphics content for Promotions, Entertainment, Traffic, or Master Control. Using a Web browser, users create graphics with Chyron’s popular LUCI ActiveX plugin, and build show rundowns right at the desktop where iRB completes the operational picture.
iRB is a browser-based tool, allowing anyone to create, share and manage running orders via any LAN or WAN connection. Users can easily browse and fulfill Chyron graphics and clip templates and prepare a running order ready for immediate playout without interrupting the Newsroom and yet streamlining the production workflow.
Assets are automatically published to playout devices dramatically reducing preparation and production time. iRB also directly integrates with Chyron’s new AXIS suite of online content creation tools, as well as Chyron’s electronic order management system, OMS providing the backbone of Chyron’s Distributed Centralization system.
Chyron COO Kevin Price said, “Public affairs programming, automated promos, special events and non-scripted programming are just a few examples of program types that can benefit greatly from the speed and efficiency of iRB. It is an exciting new addition to our product portfolio.”
